Just like schools, we are held accountable by partner organisations and judged by our results. We work with the GMMEH, Arts Council England and Ofsted to achieve this.

We create bespoke packages based on the specific needs of your school and teachers, both in-school and at our music centre. We aim to identify skills and then build on them.

A message from our Head of Service

At Bury Music we strive to put children at the heart of their community, free to be creative and express themselves in an environment in which they feel safe and secure. We support children’s learning and help them to achieve their goals.

Music is an entitlement for all children and when delivered as part of a broad and balanced curriculum can have a very positive impact on a child’s overall development and the life of the school. The National Plan for Music Education states that the Government’s vision is “to enable children from all backgrounds and every part of England to have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument; to make music with others; to learn to sing; and to have the opportunity to progress to the next level of excellence.”

This new world we find ourselves in during this Global Pandemic is one that requires us all to be flexible and ready for change. Bury Music Service puts the safety of their pupils, schools and teachers first and will work with each individual school to ensure the best possible music education is provided in the safest way possible.
